Perth International Burlesque Festival is on very soon!! The excitement is building, awaiting arrival of the guest performers to our Perth shores.

Vintage Glamour Workshops are Full-day vintage style workshop and glamour photographic shoot,
brought to you by Sugar Blue Burlesque and David Woolley Photography.

Sunday May 6th workshop has a 50s Housewife Pinup theme, meaning there will be some sets, props and accessories available to create this cheeky and sexy look!
You will also get professional posing tips and advice from David Woolley, who guarantees that he can make every woman look like a Vintage pin up!
Recommended clothing: Lingerie, 50's Dresses, Aprons.

Included in the package is one free 8" x 12" (Valued at $100) print of your choice from your photo shoot, and you will be able to purchase further prints from David Woolley at a 50% discount. After a huge sellout Big Top Tease show in 2011, the show is back by popular demand in 2012!

Sugar Blue Burlesque get together with the circus folk from the Joseph Aston Circus and Carnies with Candy and put on a very exciting show, under the big top, for two nights only!!

With your ringmaster for the night, MC Baron Frauhausen, get ready to see a whole new show with jaw-dropping and death-defying circus acts by the amazing Circus Joseph Ashton performers as well as be seduced by the Sugar Blue Burlesque artistes and be wowed by Sideshow peeps, Carnies with Candy!

You will see the Circus Joseph Aston's Wheel of Death, the amazing Flying Trapeze, incredible acrobats and Juggling by Max Balls as well as incredible feasts for your senses that will leave on the edge of your seat!

Along side the amazing circus performers, the stage will be shared with Sugar Blue artistes and Carnies with Candy who will knock your socks off!!

A'dora Derriere

Director of Sugar Blue Burlesque, A'dora has been living and performing in both Europe and Australia in 2011. She is in Perth for a short amount of time, in which she is co-producing the Perth International Burlesque Festival and she will entertain you with her gorgeous, sexy acts (and of course her Derriere)! Internationally acclaimed, A'dora has performed all over the world, including Paris, London, Switzerland, Belgium, Montreal & New York.

Ruby Slippers

She is currently winner of the Miss Burlesque Perth title! A fan of both film and folly, Ruby Slippers is a true Technicolour Temptress. Described as both “statuesque” and “a bit of a dag” in the same breath, Ruby brings her face making, booty shaking and burlesque reawakening to a stage near you. So gentlemen, grab your rods, and women hang on to your cones, because this Kodachrome Queen has to be seen to be believed!

Ruby DeLure

Ruby DeLure is a spot light lovin’ Broadway Baby. She dreams of the day when her name will be in lights on 42nd St, for now she’ll just high kick her way through life until she gets there.
In her spare time she loves nothing more then to bake cupcakes and ride her Bicycle.

This red hot beauty is ready to show the world what she’s got and with influences such as Liza Minnelli, Bernadette Peters and Gypsy Rose Lee she has much to offer.

Queen of subversion, and master of Avant theatre, performance artist Ash Baroque brings a dark humour to all he touches with a melting satire of Vaudevillian proportions. A variety hall pioneer and dancing poet, Baroque is a personality disorder of archetypal calamity. Cabaret Baby Janes, twisted burlesque and old cinema heroines play out wildly funny dramatics to
tickle you in your most private of places. Adding Glastonbury, Fringe World 2011 and reigning "Madame Devilles" to a growing list of performance spaces, the Provocateur of Humour Noir has many faces you’ll never forget.

Caroline J Dale

Hailing from a distant planet, Baby Blue travelled to Earth on a quest for transcendence only to discover it in the form of Dolly Parton. Armed with a shimmering white Gretsch guitar and silver singin' pipes, this intergalactic cowgirl will tame your lonesome blues with songs drawn from the kitsch glamour of the Grand Ole Opry and the mythology of the Wild West!

Rose Noir
Sweet as spun sugar and hot as chilli spice, Mademoiselle Rose Noir is equal and delicious measures cheesecake pinup and femme fatale. Blossoming onto the burlesque scene in 2010, this dangerous little lady is now in full bloom. She'll lure you in with her guileless smile and have you caught in her perfumed web before you have time to sigh. Gentle ladies and not so gentle men, after tonight's performance, the question on everyone's lips will be: who is Rose Noir?

The Title of Miss Burlesque Australia will be awarded to the best overall performer across a range of activities including Traditional, Neo and unique interpretation of Burlesque. We are also looking for a winner who will actively use her Title to promote a better community of Burlesque in Australia, and promote the community of Burlesque in Australia, internationally. Personality, performance, skill and presentation all form key parts of winning the competition.

ABOUT MISS BURLESQUE AUSTRALIA

Miss Burlesque Australia is the first competition in Australia to combine all feature elements of Burlesque performance and personality to compete for a major prize and international title.

A national competition that will see performers from all states compete for a prize pool worth over $10,000 AUD in money, prizes and sponsorship.

State heats will be held, with all finalists heading to Sydney for the Grand Finals, where the winner will be crowned Miss Burlesque Australia.

As of 2011, the competition will grow into the USA, UK and International markets.
In 2012, Boylesque competitors can compete in all states.

After much anticipation and preparation, we are very pleased and excited to announce the first annual Perth International Burlesque Festival! Preceding the Australian Burlesque Festival, the Perth International Burlesque Festival will run from the 24^th to the 27^th of May, 2012, and will feature 4 days of shows, late-night parties,markets, workshops, and other exciting events to be announced soon – check out the website: www.perthburlesquefestival.com

Presented by Sugar Blue Burlesque, the festival is open to international, interstate, and local performers, and aims to both celebrate the local Burlesque community and facilitate creative links with international and interstate artists. Applications are open to all male and female Burlesque, variety, cabaret and circus artistes, and are due on the 13^th of January, 2012. All performers are encouraged to apply – we would love to hear from all of you! More information on applications can be found on the Performers page of the website.

Sugar Blue Burlesque is very excited to put on their moustaches and present to you their final massive show for the year, 'Drag Kings and Burlesque Queens'! Hosted by Fanny La Rue, this show will feature Captain Kidd, the winner of Vegas' Burlesque Hall of Fame, 'King of Burlesque' Title for 2011 and also the awesome, US boylesque star, Smokin' McQueen. The Sugar Blue peeps will also be bringing on some crazy new acts that will leave you completely titillated, entertained and maybe leave you a little sexually confused!

We are are also pleased to announce that this show will be part of the 'Movember' fundraising campaign for November, $5 per ticket sale will go to the foundation which supports Prostate Cancer and Depression Initiatives in men.

So, come down and wear a moustache or cross dress for this hilarious show. There will prizes for the best facial hair sculpture and cross dresser outfit.
